June 2024 Enhancements

2024 Cub Scout Advancement

This feature only applies to Cub Scout sites.

The BSA completely revamped Cub Scout advancement effective June 1.  Those changes have now been implemented in TroopWebHost:

We created new versions of every Cub Scout adventure.  The old versions have " - EXPIRES 09/01/24" appended to their name.

You will still see the expired versions that a Cub Scout earned in prior years on their Scouting History Report.

Cub Scout Changes On September 1

This feature only applies to Cub Scout sites.

The BSA is giving Cub Scout packs the summer to complete their advancement entries for the old program.  This grace period will end on September 1.

That is why we continue to show the "Bobcat" and "Webelos / AOL" tabs on the Adventures & Badges page.  Those will disappear on September 1.

We will also continue to show the old versions of all adventures and badges on the Adventures & Badges page.  They appear at the bottom of each list of adventures, with " - EXPIRES 09/01/24" appended to their name.  These will also disappear on September 1.

Internet Advancement Renamed

This feature does not apply to Girl Scout sites.

The BSA interface for uploading advancement data from third party sites like TroopWebHost has been renamed.

"Internet Advancement 2.0" is now "Scoutbook Plus".

We've made the corresponding change in the pages that create this file and in our documentation.

Scoutbook Plus Export All For Cub Scouts

This feature only applies to Cub Scout sites.

The Scoutbook Plus export page for Cub Scouts now has an option to export all past advancement, regardless of whether it has been awarded.

This makes it easier for Packs who have not kept Scoutbook up to date to catch up.  Please note that if the export file exceeds 500 rows, you will have to edit it - using a simple text editor like Notepad - to create smaller subsets of the file.  Do NOT use Excel (or on a Mac, Numbers) to edit the file, as this will change the format so that it will not be accepted by Scoutbook Plus.
