Save Your Data

Our latest feature allows you to download a complete copy of your database any time you'd like.

Before we tell you about that, we'd like to thank our newest troops for joining TroopWebHost.
  • Troop 122 of Doylestown, Ohio
  • Troop 135 of Center City, Minnesota
  • Troop 242 of Patterson, Louisiana
  • Troop 365 of Lake Wylie, South Carolina
  • Troop 658 of Cypress, Texas

Please take a look at the How To... pages from the Help menu after you log on to your new site for tips on getting started.

And always feel free to contact us at info@TroopWebHost.com if you have any questions.
Database BackupDatabase Backup
On-Demand Database Backups

We have always made frequent backups of every troop's database to ensure against data loss.

A number of troops have asked for the ability to perform backups so they could keep copies of their own data.

This feature is now available to site administrators.

From the Administration menu, select Database Backup. Click the Continue button to begin the process.

The system will ask you if you want to save or open the file. Select Save and choose a location on your hard drive to place the backup file.

The data is saved as XML, an industry standard format for data exchange.
Historic Merit BadgesHistoric Merit Badges
Historic Merit Badges

BSA revived four "historic" merit badges for 2010 as part of the centennial celebration.  We now support these merit badges and all of their requirements in TroopWebHost.

These merit badges are:
  • Carpentry
  • Pathfinding
  • Signaling
  • Tracking
Other recent improvements:
  • Nicknames are now displayed in most membership lists when the nickname is different from the first name (e.g., Nicholas A "Nick" Foster).
  • Merit badge requirements are now available for ALL merit badges.
Thanks for your support!
