Reports, Forms and Forums

We're happy to announce several exciting new features.

But first we'd like to welcome the following troops who joined TroopWebHost in the past month.
  • Troop 44 of Philipsburg, Pennsylvania
  • Troop 109 of Wallburg, North Carolina
  • Troop 454 of Davidsonville, Maryland
  • Troop 610 of Abita Springs, Louisiana

As you begin using your new site, please take the time to read the How To pages from the Help menu of your web site.

You may also find it useful to read through our past newsletters for information about recently added features.
Recharter WorksheetRecharter Worksheet
Recharter Worksheet

The rechartering process is a time-consuming chore that involves gathering lots of information about your troop.

Our new Recharter Worksheet is our first attempt at making this easier.

Before printing the report, first go to the Troop Report Information page (only available to site administrators from the Troop menu) and fill in all of the fields, then press Save.

Then select Recharter Worksheet from the Troop menu to view and print the report. It shows all active adult leaders (any adult with a current leadership position) and all active scouts, followed by those adults and scouts that left the troop since the beginning of the current recharter year.

Download Troop Forms

We've made a number of improvements to the downloadable troop forms.

The Download Forms menu item is now available to the general public, but only for those forms you designate as being accessible to the public. All of your existing forms will be restricted to members of your troop, unless you change them to allow public access.

Each form can have be made available to Public, Troop, or Leaders. The latter is only available to adult leaders. Only the public forms can be viewed without logging on.

You can also create categories of forms. Select Form Categories from the Troop menu to define these categories, which can then be assigned to individual forms.

Last, but not least, you can now post a form that is a link to a document on another web site. Just select URL Link (instead of File Upload) and fill in the complete URL of the document.
Forum EditorForum Editor
Scout Forum Improvements

The page you use to post messages to the scout forum now has the same text editing capabilities as the e-mail message page, so you can create paragraphs, bold-face text, italicize, underline, left-justify, center and right justify blocks of text.

We've also enhanced this text editor to allow you to create bullet lists. Just select several paragraphs and click the   bullet list icon   icon, and the paragraphs will be transformed into items in a list. Click the icon again to turn them back into regular paragraphs.

The Scout Forum is available from the My Stuff menu. It allows you to create topics that everyone in the troop can respond to.
Thanks for your support!
