Sales - Email Receipts For On-line Orders

TroopWebHost now generates an email receipt whenever an order is completed from either:

• The Public Fundraiser Order Site at ScoutSales.org
• The "Buy Stuff From Troop" page (Scouts BSA sites only)

A copy of the receipt will also go to the Internet Order Confirmation Email Address for that sales campaign.

As shown below, the receipt identifies the customer and lists the items purchased.  If the order qualified for quantity discounts, additional columns will show the discount and net cost to the customer.

Sales - Delivery Summary Report

Managing the distribution of fundraiser orders just became easier with a new report.  The Delivery Summary By Sales Person report is now available from the Order Item Detail Reports page, as shown here:

This report lists all orders not yet delivered, grouped by the scout who sold them.  It includes the customer address and delivery instructions.

Citizenship in Society Merit Badge

The new Citizenship in Society merit badge is now available in TroopWebHost.

It will become an Eagle required badge for scouts earning Eagle on or after July 1, 2022.  However, since it cannot be used as an Eagle required badge prior to that date, we have not yet designated it as Eagle required in TroopWebHost.

Health Care Professions Merit Badge

The new Health Care Professions merit badge is now available in TroopWebHost.

This badge replaces the Medicine merit badge.  Scouts who are already in progress on the Medicine merit badge may still complete it, but scouts who have not yet begun the Medicine merit badge should start Health Care Professions instead.  Medicine merit badge will no longer appear on the selection list for new merit badges after December 31 of this year.

Participating Scouts By Age Report

This update only applies to TroopWebHost sites.  It is not available for Cub Scout and Girl Scout sites.

Scouts should be no more than 2 years apart in age when sharing the same tent on a campout.  A new report, Participating Scouts By Age, now helps you verify that you are in compliance.

This report is available when you select an upcoming event from the calendar.

Click Print Scouts By Age to produce the report.

Den List With Parent Info

This update only applies to Cub Scout sites.  It is not available for Scouts BSA and Girl Scout sites.

A new report makes it easy to contact parents of the cub scouts in each Den.

To produce this report, please go to Membership → Membership Reports → Den List With Parent Info.

Recent Deposits To Member Accounts Report

This update only applies to TroopWebHost sites.  It is not available for Cub Scout and Girl Scout sites.

Many organizations that have a Scouts BSA troop for girls and a Scouts BSA troop for boys use one TroopWebHost site to manage both units.  If the two troops have separate checking accounts, they simply create a separate Troop Account in TroopWebHost to represent each checking account.

On-line payments, however, can only be posted to one account for a given TroopWebHost site.  Troops must then transfer the payments for the other troop into their account from time to time.

We created a report to help with this process.  To generate this report, go to Money → Financial Reports → Recent Deposits To Member Accounts.

The report will include all deposit transactions with a transaction date on or after the date entered in the first field.

It will only include deposits that were posted to the selected troop account.

It can also select based on the transaction type, which is useful if you created a transaction type specifically for on-line payments.

The report, as shown below, is grouped by adults and scouts.  For scouts, it is grouped by girls and boys.

iOS 10 No Longer Supported On Mobile App

We recently discovered that version 1.5.6 of the TroopWebHost Mobile App, which was released last month, is not compatible with iPhones and iPads running version 10 of the iOS operating system.  This was an unintended result of upgrading our development tools, which we must do periodically to stay current.

iOS 10 was released in 2016 and superseded by iOS in 2017.  Devices running iOS 10 can continue to run version 1.5.3 of the TroopWebHost mobile app.
