Mobile App For Cub Scouts

Version 1.3.8 of the TroopWebHost mobile app now supports Cub Scout advancement!

Scouts will see My Adventures on the app's opening page.  From there they can find any adventure, read its requirements, and see what remains to be completed.

Parents will see My Family on the main page.  This lets them view information about each member of their family, and see the progress of each of their scouts with regard to adventures and awards.  If authorized by their pack, they can also sign off on adventures and awards their scouts have completed.

Leaders will be able to manage advancement for individual scouts from the Directory, and for all of the scouts attending an event from the Calendar.

There are five new security tasks that control access to these functions in the app:

• Mobile App – Menu – My Family.  This will allow parents to update the contact information for their sons and daughters, and to view their advancement status.
• Mobile App – Menu – My Advancement (Cub Scout).  This will allow cub scouts to view their status on all adventures and awards.
• Mobile App - Feature - View All Cub Scouts Advancement.  This will allow leaders to view advancement status for all scouts in the pack.
• Mobile App - Feature - Sign Off On Cub Scout Requirements.  This will allow leaders to sign off on requirements for any scout for any adventure or award.  Leaders must also be authorized for "Mobile App - Feature - View All Cub Scouts Advancement" to access this feature.
• Mobile App - Feature - Sign Off On My Family's Cub Scout Advancement.  This will allow parents to sign off on requirements for adventures or awards, but only for their own children.

We have already authorized these tasks for the appropriate roles in all TroopWebHostCS sites, so you only need to take action if you do NOT wish to allow your pack to use these functions, or if you are not using the standard "Scout" and "Adult" user roles.
