Two years ago we moved the TroopWebHost.org domain - which hosts all of our Scouts BSA troops, crews, and ships - to a massive new server.
This month we moved the rest of our domains, including all of our Cub Scout sites and Girl Scout sites, to this new server as well. This allows our original server to be dedicated to database operations, which had begun to be a bottleneck during periods of heavy usage.
The initial results are quite encouraging, with much faster response times on Monday nights when many of our scouting units meet.
We also found a way to speed up the posting of completed rank requirements, which happens a lot on Monday nights.

77 TroopWebHost scouting units voted for this enhancement, which was to provide the same command buttons at the bottom and top of pages that can have a lot of content.
Most of the opening pages that can be accessed from the menu now have buttons at the top and bottom, along with the corresponding search pages.
Let us know if you find other pages that could use this treatment, and we will update them right away!
Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts can now accurately enter the school grade of their youngest scouts.
A drop down list now allows you to select "K" for scouts who are in kindergarten.
The Engineering Journey, Computer Science Journey, and Outdoor STEM Journey have been added at Daisy, Brownie, and Junior levels.
We also reclassified the Outdoor Journey badges as Journey Awards to make them easier to track.
